A recent study undertaken at a major UK general hospital found the cost of laundered tabards works out at between 41 to 43 pence per use. Single use disposable tabards cost 17.5 pence each - representing a saving of almost 60%. Disposable tabards also significantly reduce the risk of cross contamination.
